Set on the waterfront in Stockholm's Old Town, the First Hotel Reisen is set in an 18th century building located 50 metres from the Royal Castle. Guestrooms are traditionally furnished and decorated with maritime motifs; as well as offering views over the Old Town rooms provide bathrobes, cable TV, Internet access, climate control and minibars.
In the Reisen Bar and Matsal diners can choose from a menu of Scandinavian cuisine served overlooking the Stockholm waterfront. Later in the bar, guests can enjoy fine wines and champagnes together with tapas, served in an 18th century atmosphere. In the hotel's cellar vault there is also sauna and plunge pool. A conference room is available for hire, seating 22 people and offering a range of audio-visual equipment. Banquets and private dinners may be booked via the reservation service. During the summer guests may also rent a bike and explore the city. The hotel's staff can also help to reserve sightseeing-tickets for city trips. The ferry to Grona Lund amusement park is 100 meters away. It is 150 meters to the Museum of medieval Sweden and 500 meters to the shopping and restaurant district. Stockholm Arlanda Airport is a driving time of 45 minutes and a distance of 42 kilometres. The airport has three railway stations: one for long- distance destinations and two for frequent express trains to Stockholm. Taxis run from directly outside the terminals. When taking a taxi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator, found outside the terminal building. There are also bus stations outside terminals 2, 4 and 5.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the airport, take E4 towards Stockholm C and then Klarastrandsleden to Tegelbacken. Turn left at Fredsgatan, right at Gustav Adolfs Torg, right at Norrbro, left at Slottskajen and then right at Skeppsbron. From the South E4 take Essingeleden towards the city centre and Sodermalarstrand. Drive to Slussen and turn left towards Gamla stan. There are parking spaces near the hotel.
