A grand, early 20th century building, the Scandic Hasselbacken is located on Royal Djurgarden, within 1.5 kilometres of Junibacken theme park and the old town. This five-floor hotel features 112 air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which feature Nordic-style decor with wooden floors and include satellite television with pay movies, complimentary wireless Internet access and minibars.
Guests can dine in the Restaurant Hasselbacken, a classic 1920s-style restaurant with glass and gold-decorated ceiling, crystal chandeliers and a view of the park overlooking the waterfront. The restaurant serves Swedish dishes with an international flavour, and guests can dine on the terrace and sample dishes from the grill during summer. A children's menu is available and there is a playroom next to the restaurant. There is a bar serving drinks and snacks in the lobby, and guests can taste a variety of wines in the hotel's wine cellar, with a professional sommelier on hand. There are two saunas at the hotel, built in a Finnish style with a cold pool; drinks and snacks are available in the adjoining relaxation room. Kids are kept entertained in the playroom next to the restaurant and there are 17 meeting rooms for business guests. Complimentary wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel for guests who wish to keep in touch or plan a day's sightseeing. There are a number of museums close to the hotel, including the Nordic Museum and the National Museum, both within 1.5 kilometres. Junibacken, the theme park based around Astrid Lindgren's children's books is 600 metres from the hotel. Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is 43 kilometres away, around 45 minutes by car.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The airport has three railway stations: one for long- distance
destinations and two for frequent express trains to Stockholm.
Taxis run from directly outside the terminals. When taking a ta
xi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator, found outsid
e the terminal building. There are also bus stations outside te
rminals 2, 4 and 5. Stockholm has an excellent T-Banen subway s
ystem, as well as a bus and streetcar network. Taxi fares tend
to be very expensive.
