One of Scandinavia's largest conference and exhibition hotels, the Scandic Infra City is a 24-story, glass, high-rise hotel towering above the Infra City business complex, located 25 kilometres from Stockholm's city centre. The 320 guestrooms feature simple, modern decor in soft colours with wooden furniture. All include Internet access, satellite television with pay movies, clock radios, telephones and trouser presses. Set among palm trees in the hotel's indoor tropical garden, at the foot of an eight-storey atrium, the contemporary lounge-bar serves light snacks, traditional home cooking and a wide range of drinks, and screens major sporting events. The Flavours restaurant offers dishes inspired by flavours from the around the world, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Guests can work out in the health club, with a gym, two saunas and an indoor pool; relax with a drink in the bar, and order snacks from room service. The hotel has 25 meeting rooms for up to 1,500 people, with audio-visual equipment, banqueting services and fax, binding, copying and secretarial services available. The Wik Event centre, four kilometres away, offers a range of outdoor and indoor activities suitable for team-building sessions, and there are several golf courses in the area, three kilometres away. DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The airport has three railway stations: one for long- distance destinations and two for frequent express trains to Stockholm. Taxis run from directly outside the terminals. When taking a taxi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator, found outside the terminal building. There are also bus stations outside terminals Two, Four and Five. Stockholm has an excellent T-Banen subway system, as well as a bus and streetcar network. Taxi fares tend to be very expensive.
