Scandic Park is a late 1960s seven-storey hotel situated overlooking Humlegården Park in the diplomatic quarter, one kilometre from Central Station. The 198 guestrooms, all of which have light-coloured Scandinavian-style decor, wooden floors and Hästens Sängar beds, include cable television with pay movies, dial-up Internet connections, minibars, coffee/tea-making facilities and bathrooms with hair dryers.
Guests can unwind and take in views of Humlegården Park in the top-floor sauna, or top up their tans in the solarium (surcharge). The Bar & Brasserie Park Village comprises a terrace café, piano bar and a la carte restaurant, and offers coffee, beer, wine, authentic Swedish fare and international dishes. All children receive a surprise from Sigge, the Scandic mascot, upon check-in, and they can paint, play games or watch cartoons in the playroom. DRIVING DIRECTIONS
The airport has three railway stations: one for long- distance destinations and two for frequent express trains to Stockholm. Taxis run from directly outside the terminals. When taking a taxi, passengers should speak to a taxi coordinator, found outside the terminal building. There are also bus stations outside terminals 2, 4 and 5. Stockholm has an excellent T-Banen subway system, as well as a bus and streetcar network. The nearest subway station to the hotel is 500 metres away. Taxi fares tend to be very expensive.
